New York Bagels: An American Tragedy

New York Bagels: An American Tragedy

If you had to pick one quintessential Jew food, what would it be? I say bagels, all the way. And by bagels, I mean New York bagels, not the dreck they try to pass off in Texas. So clearly this article from Yahoo about the decline and subsequent closing of H&H Bagel hit home. Basically, the tough, chewiness that made a bagel a bagel has given way to the brobdingnagian fluffy rolls we know today. However, this brought bagel appeal to the masses.

What do y’all think? Modern bagels: Yay or nay?

Mazel!

I KNOW! I always went there with my Mom. I’ll have to stick to Ess-a-bagel now!
