Love this site!!!!!!!!!!!!
what’s cookin?
i just found this site. WOW. I tried the gefilte fish (since it IS Rosh Hashanah and all..)
and here is what I found: I needed more liquid to cook the fish balls in. I used Chilean sea bass with salmon (delicious combo), I put in a little no msg osem mix to the broth, I only had a celeriac root so I used that instead of celery heart, oh, and I added cilantro along with the parsley. IT CAME OUT AMAZING!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving me the courage to even attempt this long-standing top of the line intimidating entree. Can’t wait to serve it
Thanks so much, Harriet! Enjoy!
I love your site!
Aw, thanks!!
We’re on to bialy hamantaschen this year. The coconut papaya was a hit last year. I’ve used your recipes, and I love them. This is such a great site. AND it makes me remember my culture, my food, and my great pride in being Jewish. Maybe that sound strange, but I’ve recently been writing short stories of my childhood in the 1950s, and it amazing how many deal with Jewish food. That is who I am.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing! Food is so much a part of Jewish identity. Happy to help!
