A recap of Passover 2019 in Puerto Rico! Better late than never, right?
What a view! I’ve been hosting Passover Seders since 2002 college, but I can easily say this one was the classiest one yet. Not only was it the first one I hosted with my now-husband, in our first apartment together in Puerto Rico, with a real dining room table, real Elijah cup (not a plastic Spring Break margarita glass), real plates and flatware, and fabric napkins! All class.
I’ve recapped most of the last few years, but I realized I never did 2019 last year. With 2020 being the year of the virtual seder, I thought it would be fun to reminisce over 2019. Also see Passover 2014, Passover 2015, Passover 2016 and Passover 2017! Passover 2018 I was in San Francisco and went to my brother’s wife’s family so I didn’t host that year or take photos. But I did make a flourless chocolate cake and of course, matzah crunch!
Everything bagel beet pickled deviled eggs were a must! Andrew also made build your own handrolls and I served a horseradish dip as appetizers. Fancy! Per usual, we had a mix of Seder experts and newbies and it was so fun to get together our new PR friends and share all the fun. We even had an afikomen hunt! The winner got rum.
Looks like we already had our four glasses of wine.
You can’t have Passover without matzah ball soup.
