I love zaatar because it reminds me of israel and it tastes great on everything
I would have to say my favorite spice is Cumin, from indian to mexican it really does bring out the exotic flavors of any dish.
Too hard to decide on a single spice because it depends on the type of cooking I am doing and the particular dish. I can’t imagine Italian cooking without garlic; I use zaatar as a great flavor enhancer on fish, and love curry on vegetables and Indian food. If I want to be healthy, I think tumeric.
I love rosemary. It’s good on so many things and I can grow it on my little NYC terrace!

Freshly cracked black pepper is easily my favorite spice, but if I had to pick a favorite pantry spice I would say smoked paprika is my favorite. It brings so much flavor to the party! Perfect for hummus. 🙂

I love garlic because I can put it in almost everything.
I love so many spices, but if I had to choose just one (salt and pepper don’t count, and let’s call garlic a vegetable) I’d have to choose chile powder. Spicy, smokey, and flavorful.

my favorite spice is paprika- Both my parents are Hungarian so I grew up not only using paprika the way Americans use salt but we also always had a supply of fresh paprika from Hungary. The red color is so vibrant and the flavor of authentic Hungarian paprika is so potent. In my house we take our paprika very seriously!
I love garlic powder!
