This giveaway is now closed.
As I mentioned last week on my Cooking Planit Spices Giveaway Teaser Post you have the chance to win this awesome set of spices worth $100 from Cooking Planit! Spices are a fun way to play around with flavors plus they add nutrition to your recipes. Sneaky devils! A little cardamom on your oatmeal? Taste like fall. Smoked paprika in your chili? Won’t even miss the bacon. Cumin in your hummus? You can thank me later.
Cooking Planit is a cool recipe app and site that gives you EVERYTHING you need to be successful at making their recipes. They pair the main dish with the sides for you, plus tell you exactly what tools in the kitchen are essential, from the size pan to when you should use a spatula versus a spoon for mixing. Plus, every recipe has been tested. Details, people, details!

I would have to say my favorite spice is Cumin, from indian to mexican it really does bring out the exotic flavors of any dish.
Ev Marc-Whele says
Too hard to decide on a single spice because it depends on the type of cooking I am doing and the particular dish. I can’t imagine Italian cooking without garlic; I use zaatar as a great flavor enhancer on fish, and love curry on vegetables and Indian food. If I want to be healthy, I think tumeric.

my favorite spice is paprika- Both my parents are Hungarian so I grew up not only using paprika the way Americans use salt but we also always had a supply of fresh paprika from Hungary. The red color is so vibrant and the flavor of authentic Hungarian paprika is so potent. In my house we take our paprika very seriously!
