Bagels are one of my favorite Jew foods ever! Now I don’t eat them too often. Partly because of empty carbs, but mostly because I live in Texas. Land of breakfast tacos, queso, brisket, but not bagels. Luckily I can just make my own whenever I like! With Yom Kippur coming up this week, and bagels being a quintessential break fast food (Not eating for 24 hours = earned a bagel or two) I rounded up a few favorites along with lox and schmear from some fantastic bloggers.

Garlic, onion, pumpernickel, or everything bagel. Toasted. With a shmear of chive, scallion, or green onion cream cheese. Topped with belly lox (the real salty smoked salmon, not Nova). Then, a slice of red onion and a slice of farmstand tomato.
Yum now I’m hungry!
