Also, I just have to add that my family wasn’t a big fan of the name “Thanksgivukkah” when we first heard about the merging holidays, so my little sister came up with “Thanks-a-latke” 🙂

Sour cream is my favorite topping. I wanted to mention though, that it also delicious to put roasted green chile inside the latkes, a point which Rabbi Jerry Kane of Las Cruces, New Mexico convinced me.

I stand by my comfort foods. Latkes need apple sauce and sour cream. Fresh strawberries slices are good, too, on the very top are a nice touch!

Again, old style. Applesauce (made with fresh apples) and sour cream. For this year, I could see adding fresh cranberries to the applesauce. I wonder if the leftovers will last 78,000 years…
