Part II of my Sweet Noshings Cookbook Tour!
(above photo by Linda Wolpert)
Check out Part I here. Thanks! Touring for Sweet Noshings has been the most fun thing ever. I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many readers and new friends and of course eat lots of delicious food in delicious cities. We left off after the Kosher BBQ Cook-off in Dallas. A meaty day indeed. Next up was Schenectady, NY (fun fact: my parents went to college in Schenectady!). Less fun fact: I didn’t take any photos. I don’t know what happened! We made Tex Mex Latkes and Nutella Rugelach and Brisket! We can pretend the photo above was taken in Schenectady, but really it was my next stop in DC with the Jewish Food Experience!
This was a very cool event and not only because it was at One Eight Distilling.
On Rye made awesome food for the 100+ attendees, including desserts from Sweet Noshings and my Pickled Beet Eggs.
Yes that is a boozy egg cream!!! Yasss. I got to see so many friends including cool blog readers, my friend JaRonda from college, Paula and Evan. What a fun day!
A side note: not technically a tour stop, but I made time to go to New Jersey to work on some videos for Manischewitz and saw Eitan!
Mmmm green screen. And lox eggs benedict.
Next up- San Francisco! Again I sucked at taking photos during my signing at the Contemporary Jewish Museum but here I am with a few friends!
And a reader brought me this sufganiyot just in time for Hanukkah! Next up: Seattle! With JConnect Seattle at Book Larder. A book store full of only cookbooks!
We had Latkes and Rugelach and Bagel, Lox and Schmear bites! (Sweater is available on ModernTribe.)
I don’t like to play favorites, but this was definitely one of the best events. The group just got me. We laughed, we cried, we ate bagels on a stick. And it was a full house!
Next up was the BBYO IC with Whitney! In the Big D.I did a cooking demo and another session talking about blogging with Whitney. We were up against Aidy Bryant and still had a full house! I was impressed at how business focused these kids were. The future looks bright, y’all!
I even found time to get cozy with the Cowboys mascot.
And Whit made these amazing Jewish food props for our photo booth! There were over 4,000 kiddos at the conference, and it was insane in a good way.
Lights, camera, action! Back in Austin to speak at Social Media Week.
I wrote about my time at Nosh Berlin in its own post. Then off to Hotlanta! I went to Emory, so it was awesome to be back and speaking for the Federation and their Pomegranate Event. A caterer made an assortment of my recipes including Sumac Roasted Salmon and Pomegranate Tahini Bark and my favorite Kale Salad!
Last stop (for now) was the Federation in Grand Rapids! Have you been to GR? Such a cute town! We made Manischewitz Sangria, and Vegetable Kugel and more Rugelach!
They don’t mess around in Michigan.
Happy place.
#art.
Stay tuned for Part III!
