Last weekend the BlogHer Food Conference came to Austin, and I was pretty pumped to attend! I met amazing bloggers like Julie, Joanne and Bree interacted with cool brands, and just networked with lots of super creative people. I left the conference totally re-inspired to blog my little Jew heart out! I’ll admit I was a bad blogger and didn’t take too many photos of the weekend, because I was too busy enjoying and living to pick the ideal filter, ya know? Too busy just
boozing eating to search out the perfect lighting for the ideal shot. Bad blogger! But I wanted to share with you nonetheless! The weekend began on a high note with dinner at the famed Uchiko with KitchenAid. Talk about starting things off right!
Everything was amazing! Especially some sous vide beef cheeks that I could have eaten approximately ten more plates of. Mustlearnhowtosousvidenow!
All the coolest of the cool bloggers were there, including my friend Hilah! Always great to see this funny lady! The company and the meal was just so memorable. Thanks KitchenAid!
Afterwards we headed off to the ZipList party at Max’s Wine Dive. These photos were taken by the super talented Erica Kuschel! Here I am with my blog friend turned real like friend Jasmin from 1 Fine Cookie.
And again with the super sweet Breanna from KitchenAid.
What am I doing here?? Putthechampagnedown!
File this one under only at a food blogger conference.
After the ZipList party, I showed some of my new friends around Austin! And by around Austin, I mean Dirty 6th. And by Dirty 6th, I mean beer pong and Jell-O shots. Waking up for the sessions the next morning sure was fun!
There was no short supply of parties such as this Mango sponsored event at Swift’s Attic. Spicy Mango Margaritas may be my favorite new thing ever! This adorable photo was taken by my friend Mary of Mary Makes Dinner while I was too busy enjoying the aforementioned margaritas to document anything.
I did take this seemed-artsy-at-the-time onion photo at the Blackbird Bakery party at The Palm Door. The onion was in my swag bag. Jealous yet?
My new friends quickly realized when you can’t order shots, you can order Tito’s on the rocks and drain out the ice. Didn’t I say I met some super creative people?!?! Winners.
Oh look a photo of actual food! This was a Nectarine and Burrata Crostini from Wisconsin Cheese. Oh man I love me some burrata!
Crap I swore I took more photos than that- oops! Trust me that it was amazing. If you are interested in learning more, here are some recaps from around the interwebs, and make sure to stop by tomorrow for a new recipe!

Thanks, Julie!
Thank you for linking up! What a fun weekend, I wish I could go back!
I know! Can’t wait until next year!
Looking forward to your blogs! You are on my short list (David Rosengarten and Chris Kimball, and now you.) (Unless Hilah is a blogger, then her too.) Old Jewish cooking is an absolute favorite of mine. Ess gezunterhait!
Awesome! I’m honored to be on that short list. I’d call Hilah a blogger too. Let me know if you have any recipe requests!
