25 Brisket Recipes

25 Brisket Recipes in one place. I’ll let that sink in for a moment.

Dudes. Duuuudes. Let me break it down for you. Brisket. Meat of Texans and Jews. Anthony Bourdain once famously said “Only Texans and Jews understand brisket.” And I liked that sentiment so much, I added it to the quote section of my Facebook profile. Which we all know is HUGE.

Once you know how to tame the beast aka cook the brisket, the possibilities are really endless. The keys to success (success in this case being really really delicious brisket) are browning it, and then low and slow cooking and resting before slicing against the grain. (Here are all my tips for brisket success). After that, whatever seasonings and/or braising liquid you use is really up to you. Maybe that’s why I like brisket so much. You can be creative as all heck. Or not- I once used salt, pepper and beer to make one of the most mouthwatering briskets ever. True story. When done right, brisket melts in your mouth. Here are a few of my favorites (25 brisket recipes to be exact) if you want to get a little craftier. Serve one of these suckers at your next holiday party and prepare to be wowed.
