Oh kugel. Glorious, sweet (or savory) kugel. Sometimes with noodles, other times with potatoes, or if you’re really crazy, another vegetable like zucchini or broccoli (yes, really!).

Kugel is basically a baked Jewish custard casserole. The most classic kind has egg noodles, eggs, and lots of dairy. All you really need to know is that it is delicious! I compiled 15 must have kugel recipes from around Internet.  What’s your favorite kind of kugel?

Shalom! I’m Amy Kritzer Becker and welcome to What Jew Wanna Eat! Your source for home cooked (sometimes) kosher goodness. I have always enjoyed cooking and baking, but needed a new goal, a challenge, to get back to my culinary roots. So, I called up Bubbe Eleanor and pleaded for her to send me her best recipes. Stat!
