New Orleans

Scenes from my summer trip to Austin + New Orleans. It was hot! In more ways than one.
Guild Austin

New Orleans

Look at that view, right?? Right. What a way to welcome me back to the city. If you follow my Instagram stories and Snapchat, you may have noticed I haven’t been in Austin as much lately. I’ll share where I have been verrrrry soon. And a special project I’m working on too. But my trip last week to Austin was magical!Guild Austin

Good morning, right? I had the opportunity to stay at one of the new Guild properties. (P.S. Use the code AMY to save 15% off your next stay at Guild!)Guild Austin

How cute is this place?? Guild is a hotel meets apartment. Homey yet chic, decorated with local decor, the idea is to live like a local in a new town. Guild Austin

The coolest part is you can text Guild during your stay to get real recommendations from a local. If you want the best coffee, spot for live music, or breakfast taco food truck (and even which taco to get!), they are on it. All that, plus a great rewards program. Check them out! Guild Austin

I stayed at their city center location during my stay, and was greeted with this fun bag of local treats! Deep Eddy <3! Drooool.Guild Austin The bagels were my addition, naturally. I was hungry!Guild Austin Love the cute touches, like this Pantone wall with Austin-themed colors. Guild Austin

And it was the perfect location to check out the White Party with Abbi and Amy! We were just steps away from 2nd Street and Dirty 6th.White Party

The next day we definitely needed food to nurse our hangovers. The Trash Fries at the new Holy Roller hit the spot!Holy Roller

The next day was The Bachelorette Finale party with Karen and Gavin!
Bachelorette Finale

Those two really know how to throw a party. I won’t comment on the actual finale, because I’ll start crying again, but the party was A+!
Bachelorette Finale

And as if they planned it just for me, bagels from Rosen’s Bagels! So legit. Don’t mind the stud muffins in the back.Rosenberg's Bagels

The next day I met up with Natalie, Jane, and Hope at ATX Cocina. Y’all need to go for their high-end Mexican cuisine and that boozy watermelon punch bowl!!ATX Cocina

Then we were up bright and early for an 8-hour drive to New Orleans!! One of my favorite cities in the world. Yas! To make the drive fly by, we added a new bead to our person every hour.

New Orleans We stayed right in the French Quarter, perfect for a bachelorette party.New Orleans So cute. New Orleans Even cuter!New Orleans

The cutest! Not a dog in the bunch. New Orleans

Nicole (in the middle) has been one of my best friends for 11+ years, and I’ve known her sister Missy (our bride) nearly as long.New Orleans

When on Bourbon…New Orleans

The theme of the weekend (you know there was a theme) was A League of Their Own, Missy’s favorite movie, and apparently, everyone else’s too. Seriously, I think ALOTO is the secret to world peace! Every single person wanted their photo with us, and everyone agreed it’s the best movie ever.

Another Internet-appropriate shot. New Orleans I even got to have dinner with Channing Tatum. What a trip!New Orleans The next day was the infamous Red Dress Run. New Orleans The run part was optional; most people were there for the early morning boozing and stylish attire. I proudly power-walked.New Orleans As you can see, the city gets into it.New Orleans Fo real.New Orleans Proud to say we checked off every item on the bridal check-list. From body shot to getting on a balcony! New Orleans I couldn’t leave New Orleans without checking out Shaya! So worth taking a later flight. Note: I was the only one there not in head-to-toe seersucker and polo shirts. But the food was worth it. I had the soft cooked egg hummus, labneh, tabouleh, ikra with caviar, and tons of the best pita ever. Evvverrrr. New Orleans

Next stop…NYC!

My favorite is the one of you holding the rose. You look like a blooming rose yourself!
