Girl staycation at The Archer Hotel Austin at the Domain!

Archer Staycation

You know when ATXPartyGirl plans a staycation, it’s going to be a time. Eleven of my favorite Internet friends and I got together on a rainy Sunday for bubbles, snacks, and princess crowns (that last one may have been just me.)Archer Staycation

We stayed at The Archer Austin, which is conveniently located at The Domain, a destination for high-end shopping and low-end bar hopping in North Austin. Our room was gorgeous! I immediately ordered a studded blue leather headboard for my own house. Okay, I didn’t, but I thought about it!Archer Staycation

I loved the mix of chic decor and Texas touches (hello cow print, bluebonnets, rustic wood touches). Naturally, I grabbed a bottle of wine and ran into the bathtub.Archer StaycationHappy Hour is the best hour!Archer StaycationSecond Bar + Kitchen is located at The Archer (lucky us!) And they treated us to a spread of girly desserts and expertly picked cheeses. Archer Staycation There was even rugelach for me! ATXPartyGirl just gets me.Archer Staycation Archer Staycation Plenty of drink options, including a vodka, grapefruit and chartreuse concoction I need to recreate ASAP.
Archer Staycation Football watching and gossiping ensued. Archer Staycation

After prying ourselves away from the cheese, we headed over to Jose Luis Salon to get our hair and make-up done! Cue girly squealing. Archer

We were each paired with a stylist, and fellow MOT Olive didn’t bat an eyelash when I presented her with my Quinceañera–worthy crown.

“I think it should be off to one side,” she mused.

I agreed. Archer

Can I wear this everyday???? I’ve never felt more like myself. Or maybe Fran Drescher. The Austin Winery provided more wine, and I purchased the most sparkly clutch I’ve ever seen. Good move. Archer Staycation After some romping at the aforementioned bars, we headed back to The Archer to crash. I cozied up in a robe and these adorable slippers.Archer Staycation

New day, rained on hair, same crown.Archer Staycation

After a late night enjoying the finest The Domain has to offer, followed by frolicking around our room, breakfast in bed was a necessity. Obviously I went for the smoked salmon rillettes with hard boiled egg, capers, red onion, dill, schmear and everything toast points. And coffeeee.

2017 is already shaping up to be the year of breakfast in bed. Archer Staycation We had the best time ever. I can’t wait to return!Archer Staycation

Disclaimer: The Archer Austin hosted our stay, and Jose Luis Salon provided complimentary hair treatments and Second Bar + Kitchen provided complimentary noshes, but I didn’t have to write about it, but I wanted to because it was so fun!
