A look inside my Pottery Barn Bedroom Makeover! And a big announcement…

Pottery Barn Bedroom

I’m pumped to share my bedroom makeover with y’all today. But why the makeover?

San FranciscoI’m living in San Francisco, y’all! What! I know! After 7+ years in Austin, I was ready for a change, a challenge, (and some new Jewish boys to date). I’m not exactly risk-adverse or indecisive. I love stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying new things, talking to strangers (in a safe way, Mom) and living life to the fullest. I say yes way more than I say no. Plus, I can always visit Austin! And you know I’ll be back for SXSW. But once I got in my head that I was going to make a change (for once in my life), there was no turning back. I’ll still be bringing you delicious Jewy recipes from the Bay!

So what have I been up to here?? Besides stalking Full House memories, I photograph all the pretty rainbow houses. #goalsSan Francisco

Get to hang out with my bro all the time and work on making ModernTribe awesome.San Francisco

(Party Like a Lox Star t-shirt available here, mug available here.)

I’ve also made new friends! And spent some time in Napa. And ate lots of tasty food!San Francisco Check out my new apartment view! Hasn’t gotten old yet. Add on that it’s 65-75 and sunny every day. Can you see why I love it here?San Francisco

Anyhoo, I left nearly everything in Austin, even my beloved koozie collection, and bagel Halloween costume! So my new room was basic. It had good bones, and great light, but needed a personality.Pottery Barn Makeover

Yes, that is a pasta maker under my bed. I liked my white bed and headboard and matching generic nightstand, but wanted to spice it up.Pottery Barn Makeover Not exactly inspiring, right??Pottery Barn Makeover

And check out the after!! I partnered with San Francisco-based Pottery Barn to freshen up my bedroom. Remember when I partnered with them for this Hanukkah post? When I got here, I got to meet the team I had only previously emailed with. Isn’t it so much more fun to meet people in person even with all the conveniences of the Interwebs? When I mentioned the sad state of my bedroom, a makeover was clearly in order!Pottery Barn Bedroom

Obsessed is an understatement. You know I’m all about the bright colors, but I mixed them here with some softer shades for a relaxing bedroom environment. #adulting

Pottery Barn BedroomI love a ton of pillows, combining colors and textures. And you know how I love fur. So I grouped this pillow, this one, and this one here and think it’s really warm and cozy!

My night stand was basic, but I switched out the knob pulls (an easy, inexpensive fix) and added a stunning mother of pearl lamp for a fresh look! Plus, a nod to Texas. Yee haw. And a bunch of Sweet Noshings copies!Pottery Barn BedroomI knew I wanted a white comforter, and this one with gray trim adds a little whimsy I love and brings out the gray in the pillows. It’s out of stock, but I would totally get this ruffle one instead!

I’m obsessed with breakfast in bed (who isn’t?), so I had to get this copper and marble tray (it’s even prettier in person) and these Love is Love Mugs (50% of the purchase price of the mugs goes to The Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest civil rights organization working to end discrimination against LGBTQ people – and realize a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all. Love it.)

Are those clothes pins and are they strictly decorative if so? Either way, super cute. Love the new room and fantastic view! Love SF!!
