Looking for a staycation just minutes from Austin? The Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is where it’s at. Massages, golf, a gorgeous pool, and classic 90’s country live music! What more could a girl want?

Oh, and did I mention this view?? From our balcony?? Yes please. When the nice folks over at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa invited me to check out the resort, AND stay for the Shenandoah concert, it sounded like the perfect staycation. I wanted to maximize my stay, so I headed out Friday morning to check out the grounds and get lunch. We started with some noshes at the 8212 Wine Bar & Grill and everything was super tasty, especially this Thai Cauliflower that I could have polished off by myself. Omni Barton Creek
We were upgraded to the Crenshaw Suite, which at 1800 square feet is way bigger than any apartment in NYC I lived in. It was insane!  To give you an idea of the kind of luxury we were experiencing, the toilet seats were heated. That’s livin’ right there. I did what any red-blooded American would do at this point, and put on my hotel robe, popped some bubbly, and jumped in the bathtub.

Anyhoo, here is the bedroom. Omni Barton CreekAnother view of the tub- there was also a shower that could have easily fit 10 people in it. Not that we tried. You can’t see it, but the water for the tub comes out of a hole in the ceiling. If you added a mini fridge to this room, I’d move right in!Omni Barton Creek

Pool time!

Omni Barton CreekGood day for swimming!

After frolicking and swimming, there wasn’t as much time to explore the grounds as I hoped for. I’ll definitely be back to see their nearby trails and world-class golf courses. Yes I play golf!

Omni Barton CreekThen, it was spa time! Tough life. Omni Barton Creek I enjoyed a lavender scrub, and then chilled in the tranquility room. Ahhh.
Omni Barton CreekThen, it was dinner. We enjoyed a hearty buffet in the Hill Country Dining Room and it was time for to see Shenandoah!
Omni Barton Creek

The Omni Barton Creek does this awesome thing where they have a complimentary Summer Music Series for club members and hotel guests only. So it was extra special to be there! Shenandoah rocked it, and we basically initiated the dancing. So fun!Omni Barton Creek

I even managed to wake up to catch the sunrise…and promptly fell back asleep until checkout. Omni Barton Creek

I received a complimentary dinner, spa treatment and stay at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa but all opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting WJWE. Jew rock!
